Seeds & Sets Pre Order Form 2021
Listed are the varieties of vegetables that we have available for 2021. They are grouped by 'Bulk Seeds', 'Onions', 'Seed Potatoes' and lastly 'Leeks & Asparagus Roots'. The list includes the variety along with information about that variety. This list does not include seed packets or started plants. (We are hoping to expand that capability next year!)
Due to technical difficulties we are unable to offer the 'online ordering' option at this time. However we do have an order form that can be printed, filled out, then emailed or dropped off at the store. You can also pick up a form at the store. Email to:

Please do not hesitate to place your order early as all seeds, sets and plants are available "first come first served". We will fulfill your order as the items become available!
When we receive your order, please allow us 24 hours to prepare your order. You will be contacted when your order is ready to be picked up!
Expected Arrival Dates:
Bulk Seeds - Some are available now with the rest arriving Mid March
Onions - Onion sets will arrive early April (weather permitting) and Onion Plants will be here the last week of April
Seed Potatoes - Mid to Late April (weather permitting) UPDATE: They will be here April 8th or 9th!
Leeks - Last week of April

For each variety of seed please provide the TOTAL length of row you are requesting.
Example: if you would like two 25 foot rows, select the total of 50 feet. If you have two 24 foot rows equaling 48 feet, round up to 50 feet.

Carrot - Scarlet Nantes - 70 Days - Popular as a sweet baby, slicer, or fresh market variety. Slow bolting. Root Size 7"x1.5"
Corn - Ambrosia - Bicolor SE Sweet Corn - 75 Days - Excellent gourmet eating quality. One of the sweetest SE types. Homozygous. Ear length 8"
Corn - Sweetness - 68 days - A fantastic early bicolor SE synergistic variety. Good early vigor. Excellent eating quality. Ear length 8"
Corn - Bodacious - 72 days - Yellow SE Sweet Corn. Multipurpose first early. Very good quality. Homozygous. Ear length 8"
Cucumber - Homemade Pickles - 55 Days - Bush plants allow tight spacing. Crisp fruit have a solid core, good to 5-6". Pick regularly to maintain production.
Cucumber - Muncher - 58 Days - A favorite low acid or burpless slicer of the folks who grow vine seed. Good yields to pickle from 2-5"
Cucumber - Straight Eight - 60 Days - Old time garden favorite. Long, straight and very dark green.
Dill - Mammoth - Eye-pleasing, easy to grow herb. Harvest may begin at 40-50 days when plants are 24-42" tall. Full bloom is at 40-50 days. Considered the best variety for pickling.
Kohlrabi - White Vienna - 55 Days - Bulbs are a green globe with white flesh. 2-3" bulb
Lettuce - Black Seeded Simpson - 45 Days - Looseleaf - Popular old timer. Large, upright plant size. Broad, crumpled, light green leaf with slight frill.
Lettuce - Buttercrunch - 67 Days - Butterhead - Popular Bibb type. Compact plant. Thick, crumpled, dark green leaf.
Lettuce - Mesclun Mix - 45-65 Days - Looseleaf - A mixture of light green to emerald, and bronze to deep red lettuces. Endive and radicchio adds a zesty flavor.

Radish - Champion - 26 Days - Globed root that is bright red. Slow to become pithy. Highly recommended.
Radish - Cherry Belle - 22 Days - Round root that is bright red. Earliest radish. Garden standard.
Radish - Sparkler - 25 Days - Round root that is scarlet with a white tip. Mild flavor. Great for home garden and market.
Rutabaga - American Purple Top - 90 Days - Delicious yellow flesh has eve texture. Prolific leaves for greens. Stores well.
Spinach - Bloomsdale - 45 Days - Semi-erect, savory plant habit. Attractive, garden standard.
Squash - Black Beauty - 50 Days - Summer squash with glossy fruit and good flavor. Vigorous. The standard open pollinated zucchini.
Squash - Table King - 75 Days - Winter acorn squash. Excellent flavor improves in storage.
Squash - Buttercup Burgess - 95 Days - Turban shaped winter squash. Keeps well. Good sweet flesh.

Below are the available potato sets. Here is a general guideline to follow: Use one pound of seed potato to plant 5-8 row feet, 2.5 pounds per 12-15 row feet, 5 pounds per 25 row feet, and 20 pounds per 100 row feet. For fingerling potatoes, use about half these amounts, as the eyes spiral the length of the tuber.

Yukon Gold - Popular early potato - Yellow-fleshed with rich flavor - Thin, gold skins with shallow eyes - Produces high yields - Stores Well
Kennebec - Top all-purpose potato - Thin skins and smooth, white flesh - Ideal for frying, baking and boiling - Dependable, high yields - Good disease resistance
Superior - Great early season potato - Fair storage - Excellent for chips or fries
Fingerling Austrian Crescent - A golden crescent-shaped fingerling with deep yellow flesh. The waxy and firm texture is delicious for salads or roasting. They are also excellent pan fried.
Leeks & Asparagus Roots
Leeks are sold in bunches and Asparagus roots are sold by the bag
Lancelot Leeks - 50-60 Leek plants per bunch - Great for soups, salads, and roasting -
Asparagus Roots - Mary Washington - 4 year roots - Plant them this year and you can do some light picking next year! 3 roots per bag
